Air brick installation and render cut back to DPC level

Customer concern: Damp low down internal walls where external render bridged the damp-proof course.
Findings: The external render continued below the damp-proof course, bridging it and allowing ground moisture to track past the DPC into the wall. Sub-floor ventilation was also restricted.
Remedial works: The external render was cut back to above damp-proof course level to remove the bridge, and air bricks were installed to restore sub-floor ventilation.
Outcome: The damp-proof course is no longer bridged and the sub-floor is ventilated, addressing the identified cause.
