Treat the cause, not just the growth
Mould Removal in Bedford
Mould is almost always the result of an underlying moisture condition. Cleaning it off feels like progress, but if the conditions that caused it remain, it comes straight back. Procure Group Ltd identifies the moisture source first.

What drives mould growth
Mould needs moisture and a cool surface to establish. Common contributing factors include:
- Persistently high relative humidity
- Surface condensation on cold surfaces
- Cold external walls and thermal bridging
- Insufficient or blocked ventilation
- Water ingress or penetrating damp
- Plumbing defects and leaks
- Any source of persistent moisture
Why spraying alone is not the answer
Positioning “spraying the mould” as a complete solution ignores the reason it grew. Effective treatment follows a clear sequence:
- Identify the moisture source
- Control the underlying conditions
- Carry out appropriate remediation
- Provide preventative recommendations where needed
Practical remedies
Depending on the cause, the right answer may be improved ventilation, addressing condensation risk, warming a cold surface (for example with an insulated board system, as shown), fixing a leak, or a combination. We recommend what fits your property.
